Fish Spa

I got to know about this Fish Spa from a TV program where a famous singer went in Singapore. I got really excited when I found it from Wei Leng that Pavillion has this fish spa too. Me and Wei Leng went there after work. I was really looking forward to it to whole day.

This Spa located the same floor as Red box. Once you entered the main entrance, you can see the open fish pond in it where everyone will soak their leg into the water. Before that, we need to wash and scrub our leg. We were given a pair of slipper, to walk around and a towel to wipe our leg.

It was rather scary when you get to see lots of little fishes in the pond and you are about the dip your leg into it. It takes me quite sometimes to convince myself doing that. It was very ticklish. I start putting my heel in it, then the whole leg. I think I yell softly… haha…. The worst part is where the fishes start nibbling bottom of my feet. Wei Leng is doing that alright since this is not the first time she is doing this. It is fun, but somehow I don’t think I will do that frequently, it is just too ticklish for me. What an experience….

Kang Bee is going back to UK on Tuesday morning. Hence, we have gathered Hon Ling, Jessie, Siew Hong and Thomas for dinner in Elcerdo for German cuisine. Great dinner! This is the first time I tried this restaurant, since last time I walk in without any reservation, but it was full. The ambience is great and food is fantastic as well. The chef’s recommendation as well as the most popular dish is The Suckling Pig (half: RM110; whole: RM225). The waiter will cut the suckling pig with a plate, and the customer will cut it together following the waiter’s instruction. Then they will break the plate and everyone will clap their hands. It was rather interesting where you can hear the breaking of plate and people clapping their hands on and off. A really nice place to go. Simply porkielicious!

Blood Donation on 12 Dec 07

Our Company was having a blood donation campaign from 10 December 07 to 13 December 07. I am alright with blood donation because I have no fear in needle and blood. Anyway, this is not the first time I donate my blood. I took approximately 10 minutes to fill up a pack of blood. I am not sure how many ml is that in a pack. Anyway, this is much better than few years ago when I took more than 30 minutes to fill a pack of blood. Guess I am healthier now….

Departmental Christmas Dinner

We are having our Departmental Christmas Dinner cum birthday celebration for our December babies in the Courtyard Garden Restaurant. I am part of the organizing community (Community: Me, Wei Leng, Felicia, Kommala, Vijaya). This Dinner consider rather successful, everyone enjoy the ambience there, the food, the cup cakes….. I am not going to post any of the food photos this time….. I found that there are too many foods in my blog… hehhe…..
Apart from the nice and delicious food, we have these cute little cup cakes which each of the cup cake has each of our face drawn on it.

Hajime

I was having a fine japanes cuisine in Hajime last Tuesday. The food was really nice and fine. The purpose of the dinner was to celebrate my mom’s birthday. Me, my mom, Lam, Lam’s father (Teddy) were there for the dinner.
We were having this 25 year old Old Malt Cask Whisky. There were only 425 in the world. The alcohol content was up to 50%. I don’t really know how to enjoy it, it is too strong for me. However, it was really great to get the chance to taste such an expensive Whisky.

The one dish that i really like it was the Toro. The toro was so fresh, it melt in my mouth.

Have you seen this kind of birthday cake? We did not eat that since we were too full to eat that sushi cake. The cake was complimentary from the chef. My god sister's husband, Edwin Yau.

There was this dish, dont know what kind of fish, pair with goose liver. And the other one is thin slice dont know what fish. Delicious.....

The Curve Fitness First

Today is the first time i went to The Curve, Fitness First with Wei Leng and Lai. The rooms are big and spacious. Not bad. Attended the Fitball class. The moves and positions were simple, but it was rather tough. Take one hour break to have some light meal in O’Briens and we continue a Step class after that. Feel so tired now……

Egyptian Pound

Some of you might wonder what the currency in Egypt is. All the while I thought they were using USD. Apparently, Egypt’s basic unit of currency is the Egyptian Pound (called a ginay in Arabic and written as £E or LE). Currently rates at around £E11 to the pound sterling, £E6 to the USD, and £E7.75 to the euro. As of today, one MYR= £E 1.6612. Egyptian banknotes come in denomination of 5pt, 10pt, 25pt, 50pt, £E1, £E5, £E10, £E20, £E50 and £E100. Interesting…..

My New Books

My new recipe books. I like to read recipe books and i have lots of those books. E.g. 100 ways to cook an egg, 100 ways to cook tofu, 1000 ways to cook something....I have the habits of collecting recipes from magazine. So 女人... i have whole range of collection. I like to read recipe books and of course, i would like to try to cook some of the dishes too. However, i seldom do it in KL since that kitchen belongs to my mom. My mom said my "Malay Kou" (马来糕) taste delicious. Somehow i did make once 2 months ago. Not so successful, and i decide to give up for the time being. I should be venturing into cheesecake next time.

My new travelling books. I am going to Egypt end of this December. It is high time to do some preparation.... really looking forward my trip to Egypt. I am going with my mom. After Egypt, i think my next destination is either South Africa or India.

This is one of the book by Richard Templar, The Rule of Work. I have another one, The Rule of Life. I will probably buy the rest of the Rule once i have digest these.

失而复得

The first thing in the morning when I reached office today was to go around the place all over again and hope to find my mobile phone. Of course, I can’t find it. When I reached my table, I saw a note saying that someone found my phone and has left it in the security counter. I am so happy. I know this hardly happen. Normally people will just keep the phone to themselves. So I consider the lucky one… 失而复得 的感觉真好… Tomorrow I will call to Maxis and ask for the phone book backup service. Everyone should ask for that service too.

People steal it? I don’t think so. Since I am still able to call through my mobile phone before I blocked my SIM card. Hopefully I have just misplaced my mobile and hopefully someone will sent it back to me or to the relevant lost and found counter if they happen to find it. Anyway, the chance is slim. So what I can hope for is to think of what phone to get.

Come to think about it, the most valuable things in my mobile are the contacts stored in it for years. Mobile phone is always replaceable, but some of the contacts, if you lost it, it could mean you lost your string of attach if the other party do not take the initiative to call you….

On the bright side, I will soon have a new mobile phone. On the down side, I lost my contacts, I need to folk out money to buy a new phone and need to adapt to it again….. sigh…..

When i was writing this, it reminds me about Ah Tee who lost his mobile phone too...sigh.....

Dinner at Imbi Palace

1st day in Bangkok

Today is my first day in Bangkok. Remember my last trip to Bangkok was last November. That was a training course for new promoted Managers for Ernst & Young. This time, I come here to attend a Train the Trainer Course in Project Risk Management.

I arrived in Bangkok around 2.30pm. I stayed in Pan Pacific Hotel, walking distance to HP Bangkok.

The first place I went was “Chatucak”. It is really a big market where I walk till I get very tired. I spent 1.5 hours there. I went to Siam Square and MBK to do more shopping after that. I can’t believe I spent quite a lot of money in such a short time frame. I had a Tong Yum Gong set for my dinner.

General
This year is a better year than the last, but there is still a lot of instability lingering around. Lazy Weekend

Normally, my weekend will full of programs. Even if I hve nothing to do in the weekend, at least I will go to the gym. However, this is just a very lazy weekend for me. Don't feel like doing anything. Piano lesson, going out for dinner/ lunch with mom and family, other than that, I just spend my time at home. What a couch potato…

Siblings

I get to know that my brother’s best friend, Lau Sang Yew sister is one of my colleagues in HP. Her name is Lau Cin Yee. I know Sang Yew when I was young. He is my brother’s primary and secondary school friend. Sang Yew took good care of me when I was studying in Australia.

When I talk to Cin Yee today, I noticed that she and her brother look alike in certain ways. By looking at the appearance, you can tell that they are siblings. Noticing the way they talk, you can find a lot of similarities. However, when I come to think about me and my brother, you hardly know that we are siblings. We look very different, of course I am pretty and he is not so handsome. We act totally different. Somehow, I don’t think we have any similarities. Don’t understand.

Just like Rebecca and Jessica, they look identical (they are twins), they act and talk in a similar way. Their voices sound the same too….

Jessie Hiew and her sister Freda Hiew…. Somehow, all of them you can relate some traits in them, and conclude that there are siblings….

Lai Sook Chen Wedding Dinner

I have attended Lai Sook Chen wedding on 29 Sept 2007. Sook Chen is my 学妹. We used to stay in the same room for few years, she is always a 乖乖学妹。

During that wedding dinner. I have met up with few secondary school mates that i have not seen them for more than 6-7 years. I am glad that i met them in this wedding dinner.

叉烧捞面

我钟爱叉烧云吞面的热潮有增无减。昨晚和妈妈去Sungai Besi, 吃了叉烧， 冬菇鸡脚捞面。 今天中午去了Concorde Hotel 吃早点，无意中又点了叉烧云吞面， 实在是太好吃了….现在提起就想吃。
吃到一半，有位弄气球的人，为小朋友们弄各种不同形状气球。我看了好久， 觉得好可爱，厚起脸皮也向那个人要了一个花儿似的气球，绑在手腕上, 然后又要了个是贵妇狗的气球。真的不好意思，和小朋友们一块儿争玩意儿。。。

I suspect something wrong with my right eye. Sometimes I saw a small little black spot when I look at white surface. The test starts at 13:30, and complete around 4pm. Of course in between there are a lot of waiting time. Wait for doctor; wait for the eye drops to take effect. My eye test result is alright but some exception comment from doctor. Just need close monitor. In fact I am considering doing lasik for my eye sight. How I wish to have a perfect eye sight. High chance of me for doing that, it is just a matter of time.

Lunch Box for sister

Lately, my sister likes to bring lunch box to office. She said she wants to save money since she is going to Taiwan in the beginning of November. I am the one to prepare her lunch box. I like doing that. Normally the dinner on the night before will serve as her lunch box. Today my sister said she don’t feel like having rice. So I fried noodles for her instead. I wanted to sprinkle some spring onion for decoration. But no more spring onion at home…. Anyway, it tastes delicious…. My sister in-law have it for her supper too.

Sanfrancisco Steak House

My group is having this monthly dinner in Sanfrancisco Steak House in Mid Valley today. We ate a lot of things. From starters (Escargots, Fried Crab Cakes, Ceaser Salad, fresh Oster….), soup (Lobster Bisque), main course (Grilled Seafood platter) and dessert (Hagen Daaz chocolate ice cream with few slices of mango). We suppose to celebrate colleagues whose birthday falls on October. But she was absent today. Hence, we will have our cakes cut tomorrow afternoon...

Yoke Meng's Wedding Dinner

I know Yoke Meng from a diving trip in Sipadan (June 07). Dennis introduced me to Yoke Meng. Since then me and Yoke Meng became diving buddy for each other. We click very well. After i am back from Beijing, me, Yoke Meng my sister and Dennis went for a diving trip to Tioman. It was a stay on board diving trip. We have a great time together.

Still remember, after the Sipadan diving, it was Jason (His hubby now) who came to pick her. It was the time they started (or going to start) their relationship. Less than a year, i got her wedding invitation. I am really happy for them.

The wedding dinner held in Serdang 喜来登. No grand hotel, no grand ball groom. But the food was much better than anywhere else. Me and Dennis have the same feeling. I really enjoy the food.... hehehe... and the karaoke session by the uncles and aunties all night long... It is nice to meet up with some other divers too, Stevie and his wife and Kit仔.

Dennis New Car

Today Dennis take his new car to pick me up for Yoke Meng's wedding dinner.

Honda Civic, a very nice car. Spacious and comfortable.... The outlook of the car looks smart. The interior was a bit funny especially the gear box and handbreak. The gear box is much smaller than the traditional gear box. The hand break is rather short. It makes me think of something.....hahaha..... so funny... can you imagine what it is..... check it out the picture...

Rusty and Odie with Tricks

These are some of the tricks we taught Rusty and Odie.

Rusty is very smart, he is able to master the "Roll Over" trick in 1- 2 days. However, he has to repeatly practice or else he will forget the tricks. He is only 3 months old now. We will teach him more tricks since this is the best time for him to learn. He is really cute....

P/S: Ignore the background noise. My mom is cooking at that time and she is talking to my cousin sister. So noisy.....



Odie has master the tricks long ago. He is 8 years old this year. He is really my dog.

This is the first time i am playing wakeboarding. Excited and fun. I tried couple of times before i can actually stand still on the board and towed freely by the speed board. Hands and legs are shivering after my session of wakeboarding. Feel rather tired.

Me, Zoe & Audrey Reunion

Zoe and Audrey were back from Beijing. I am happy that i can meet them for dinner. Guess they would not want to have Chinese cuisine, especially 饺子. I suggested to have our dinner at Paddington (a Pancake speciality shop). I forgot to take the photos for the dishes we ordered. It taste good and very presentable.

Three of us have a little update on ourself. Audrey is going to do her lasik for her eyes this Friday. Zoe has done hers in May. Feel happy to see there are doing good in BJ. Zoe and Audrey look the same as the old days, just a bit tired. Zoe look more curvy though : )

After our dinner, we went to this shop called "Big Apple" to ta bao some donuts. The donuts look appealing. This is the first time i buy donuts in this shop. Although i don't really like fancy donuts (but i like traditional sugar donuts), but the variety of the donuts are really eye catching. Me and Zoe bought half a dozen for each of us. Somehow the donuts looks and taste fresher as compared to Dunkin Donuts.
