It has been a long time since I am staying hotel all by myself. My department is having a 4 Days 3 Nights kick-off event. I am one of the organizer, hence I have to be here (Hard Rock Hotel, Penang) early to make sure everything is in proper order. Hence, before the group (and my room mate) arrived. I can occupy the room all by myself.
I have no problem staying alone. Well trained during the time in Beijing where me and the team have to spend months staying in hotel. In fact, it is rather awful staying in hotel for such a long period. However, I still prefer to live in group. Being alone makes me feel lonely although I know how to handle those feeling. Works, internet, TV, songs keeps me occupy.

Hiccup!
当你hiccup的时候，你会怎样让它停止呢？我一般会尝试喝多水，尝试憋着气， 但全都没用，只好让它不停的hiccup直到他自己停为止。
刚刚看了港剧富贵门，当hiccup时，被吓之后，hiccup自然而然会停止。以前也听别人说过这个方法用得着，问题是怎样才会被吓呢？
昨晚wedding dinner 时喝了酒，回到家就不停的hiccup。Mr Kuan说好不好他来吓我。我也不和他多说。心想，疯子怎样吓我，要吓我概嘛还告诉我，我已经有心理准备了。
很快的，在我没意识到的时候，他一回身装着手上拿着壁虎要往我身上抛，我吓了大喊一声。很以外的，hiccup竟然停了！真的非常以外！也非常好笑！怎么在有心理准备的情况下还会被吓到，真笨！
起码证明了，这个方法是用得着的。

Lasik (Part 3)
Feel great without specs and contact lenses, and i can see clearly.
Remember the time right after my operation, my eye non stop tearing and i cant really open my eye. I asked the doctor is it normal? she said normally patient will start tearing 3-4 hrs later, not so soon. she checked again, and tell me i am alright. But my eye keep tearing and i felt so uncomfortable. The nurse put some anesathic into my eye again. Immediately i felt relief. The rest of the night, i am extremely sensitive to lights. I have to wear sunglasses the rest of the night.
I wonder why my experience after the operation is so different from other people. The operation consider smooth? Not really afterall. The first eye (right eye) was fast and smooth. But when it comes to my left eye, the doctor try few times before the flap was successfully created. Because of that, i felt really uncomfortable. Anyhow, i am ok now. But i really hate the waiting time before the operation. I waited almost 1 hr, doing nothing, no magazine whatsoever. Dressed in pre-operation uniform and wait..... hate it!!!!!

Lasik (Part 2)
After a round of research and price comparison. I have decided to go with Optimax. With the same technology as Vista Vision. It is RM2K cheaper per eye. I have scheduled my operation on this Friday, Nov 20, 2009.

Lasik (Part 1)
I have been wearing specs for a week. A little unusual as i don't really wear specs to front people especially colleagues. But this is what i need to do as i am preparing for Lasik operation end of the month.
This is not solely my own decision. I have no problem in wearing contact lenses and i am so used to wear it. I can wear for swimming, diving, any occasion. Mr Kuan accused me as i am "Dirty" to my eye and done no good to my eye, here comes to pressure and starts being forceful. Beside being forced to go for operation, Mr Kuan partly sponsor my operation : ) Sponsorship is a very good motivation as this is not a cheap operation. Not sure how much it will cost as i need to do an eye test. Only after that the consultant will advice accordingly what kind of operation suits me.
Hopefully all this can end by Nov. So that i get at 4-6 months of rest before i go for my next diving in April in Indonesia.

SkyTrek Advertures - Oct 31, 2009
My second try on SkyTrek Adventure. I orgnised this trip specially for Lorraine Qi. My ex-colleague in Beijing Ernst & Young who come to KL to visit me : )
We tried Extreme Challenge this time (previously was "Big Thrill).... Fun fun fun...i still feel my mucsle aching now....
RM40 per pax, we took approximately 2.5 hours to complete to whole track. It was rather tired at the end of the trail. But we rewarded ourselves with Bak Kut Teh (Tea Bone Rice) for lunch and Durian feast for dessert.... hehehe....

We went to Aquaria at KL Convention Center after our Batu Caves trip.
This is the second time i go. I dont mind go for another time as i really like to see all the fishes especially the tunnel part. It just feel like your are diving in the sea without oxygen tank.

黑风洞之旅 (Batu Caves), Nov 1, 2009
活了整三十年，都没去过黑风洞。黑风洞对我而言是又神秘又可怕的，在我想象中，洞里应该是黑漆漆，蝙蝠到处乱飞，还会攻击人，因为蝙蝠多，洞里应该是铺满蝙蝠屎，应该是很可怕的，所以也没像过去看看。
这次Lorraine 吉隆坡之旅，让我有个很好的推动力去黑风洞看看。我想象中的黑风洞和现实全然不同，景色还蛮好的……

Blood Donation at HP, Oct 20, 2009
Another blood donation campaign in HP (average once every quarter).
This time i got a blood donation buddy...... Mr Ling King Keong.
Mr Ling "seh wong" for one hour and walk over to HP buidling at 11am to meet me up for blood donation. It just take less than 5 mins for him to walk over from his office to HP building.
A lot of people said, blood donation will caused people to put on weight. I am not too sure about this. Hopefully it will not : )

Tire Puncture
I was about to take my shower then I got my sister call….
She keep asking whether something wrong with my car engine. My answer was certain that it is in good condition because I just serviced my car and whatever noise in the car is being fixed. Within 10 minutes, my sister called again saying that she has to stop the car because she suspected the car tire has punctured.
I got a bit worried with her stopping the car to check out the car condition. I received numerous forwarded mails on how people did something on the car to make the driver to get out from the car, then they will rob them and whatsoever. With immediate action, we rushed to her. She is along duke highway.
When we got to the scene, the tire not only punture, it really torn apart and shredded. Guess she has been driving for quite sometime with the puntured tire and it turn bad. I guess the rim shd be in trouble too....

半桶水
身边很多朋友，有了小孩。
有一点我是搞不懂的，大多数的家长都和自己的小孩用英语交谈。夫妻间交谈时用广东话或是华语， 但和小朋友说话时偏爱用英语。我不反对用英语和小朋友交谈，但我是不提倡用broken English 和小朋友交谈。我家人也使用这种方式和小朋友沟通，有时会觉得怪怪的。也许每个人都体会到英语的重要性， 所以想提早训练自己的小孩。
想了想，我们马来西亚人，讲什么话都是“半桶水”。广东话没香港人/广州人讲得好，华语没中国人讲得好，英语没英国人/美国人讲的好….总而言之，每种语言方言，我们都是讲得半桶水， 也许这就是马来西亚人的特色吧！什么 we are multi-lingual….应该是 we are multi半桶水。

My New Hair Style
Months ago i have been thinking that i should make a change to my hair style. The curls are fading and looks frizzy.... Keeping my hair long for quite sometimes, hair is falling because of the length. So i decided to cut it short this time.
The night before my appointment with the hair stylist. I tied my hair and looking at all the hair gadgets i have. Big clips, small clips, hair bands..... thinking that i will need to leave "them" behind for quite sometimes. I was a bit excited and nervous at the same time. Excited because i am going to have a change. I felt a little bit of nervous because i am not the type of people who like changes.
Reached the salon 11.30am. Talk to the hair stylist that i want a real short hair. She advise and render her professional opinion. Then i leave it to her.
Seeing all my hair on the floor..... ooohhh..... but those are damaged hair... a bit sum tong though.
Half way through the process of transforming....
Ta!Da!..... The new me.... Although this is not the style i want (as i want it to be shorter), but i do satisfied with my new hair style.
He cant recognise me when he saw me... as i did not pre-empt him that i am cutting my hair short.
My sister in law and brother saw me, they said i look so so much like her. I asked them who... they said, Fish Leong (梁静茹）:)

Jump

I jumped down half way from the oil rig. Guess the height should be 10m or more. Approximately 3 storeys high. It take a little bit of courage to jump.
This will be the first and last for me. As i hurt a little bit of my back during the landing. But it was rather fun!.... : )

为什么女人出嫁得随夫？
为什么男人娶妻就不能随妇呢？
随夫意味着女方不能时时刻刻照顾自己最亲的家人。
随夫意味着女方得放弃现有的生活模式，再走向另一个全新的生活，一个得重新去适应夫家家庭生活的新模式。
为什么这一切的改变得由女方去承受。女方也有她最亲的人，是她永远放不下的。世世代代传下来的习俗，虽然女人不再受到歧视，但这一切还是不公平的。难道女人就得认命？为什么？为什么？ 为什么？心理有着千万个为什么？心里有条刺，刺得我很痛！我知道当我出嫁的时候，我也得随夫了！

Steaming Sausages
During the weekend, we bought some fresh sausages from Cold Storage and plan to have it for breakfast. The promoter told us to steam the sausages first then fried it. It will taste great.
Later of the day….
He : How long it takes to steam the sausages?
Me : Hmmm….. it depends. It depends where you keep the sausages, whether you keep it in the freezer or fridge. My mom likes to keep it in the freezer if we don’t plan to eat it next day, if not will keep it in the fridge.
(I thought I answer the question…)
He : You talk like a guai lou consultant. It sounds like you have answered the question, but when you think about it, you are not. You are just biting around the bush.
She: Hahaha….. But what I answered is correct. Okok, may be I should answered it this way. If you take the sausages out from freezer, you need to steam it for 20mins or if you take the sausages out from fridge, you need to steam it for 10-15mins.
He: That’s the way to answer la!......

Activity @ Phuket, Aug 27, 2009
This round of phuket trip, we decided not to go for any diving. Felt a bit lazy. Furthermore, i did not bring my underwater casing. Hence, we went for other kind of activity.... we went to the shooting range, shooting with real guns, rifle...
It was rather scary holding those powerful guns, the bouncing back effect scared me the very first time. The long rifle was ok as it was recommended for ladies as it only have minimal bouncing back effect.

Wedding @ Phuket, Aug 26, 2009
Attended a wedding at Phuket. It was a great wedding. By looking at it, the couple must have spent enormous time and effort to make it happen. Of course, the wedding should cost a fortune to the couple too. There should be 40-50 guests flew over to Phuket to attend the wedding. I just dont know why, every wedding i attended whenever the couples were doing their wedding vow, i felt touch and feel like crying, no exception for this time. Really touch and i cant control my tears...

White Water Rafting, Aug 15, 2009
Wake up early in the morning and go for white water rafting. Very excited. We paid RM175 per pax (lunch and snacks provided).

My Diving Trip to Sipadan
Aug 8-12, 2009. My Diving trip to Sipadan. This is the cheapest air fare we ever got to travel to Sabah, only RM60, round trip from KL to/back Tawau. Cheaper than my taxi fare from my house to airport. We book the airticket a year before during the promotion time.
We flew from KL LCCT to Tawau. Take approx. 2 hours of van ride to Semporna. Semporna is blessed with 5 top diving sites, Pulau Sipadan, Pulau Mabul, Pulau Kappalai, Pulau Mataking and Pulau Sibuan. We dive around Sipadan, Mabul and Kappalai. Sipadan was rated as one of the world's top ten dive destinations. This is my second time to Sipadan.
Our accomodation is Seaventure Diver Center. Seaventure platform was once an oil rig and were move from Panama, to Singaporean water and lastly to Mabul. It start operating in 1997.
