Shopping for Baby Stuffs

I felt a bit upset and heartbroken today. I have to shop for baby stuffs all by myself. Mr. Kuan rather asked his friends to come along, company him and they sit at the coffee shop and wait for me to buy my stuffs. WTF!!!! I have to carry all the things I bought (rather heavy for a pregnant lady) from one end of the shopping mall to other end. Drop the stuffs, then go and buy again, because I can’t carry all the things at one go. His friends think this is good for me because I need to exercise more. But they don’t understand it is rather difficult when i need to carry the extra kgs in my body, carrying all those heavy stuffs, shop and walk for almost 2 hours. I have always complaint about my serious back pain. How come Mr Kuan doesn’t listen and understand the fact.

After today, I have decided to set up all the baby stuffs by myself, including baby cot. If he thinks he wants to involve, he can. But I am not going to force him to company me to shop any of the things if he doesn’t volunteer. I don’t want to leave things last minute. My body is getting heavier everyday and it will inconvenient for me to walk for long hours. I know I will feel better if I set up this kind of mindset so that I will not feel disappointed again if he doesn’t company me.

Ah Keong highly recommend this restaurant especially its Tong Po Yuk. I like tong po yuk too but i just eat the lean meat....名不虚传, it taste really nice :)

Faint Encounter

I went to the market last Sunday with Mr. Kuan. We left the market after we finished marketing. Then i realised i forgot to buy onions and vege. So he turn his car back heading to the market again. Since i just need to buy onions and vege. I asked him to stay in the car and wait for me, no need to find a parking lot.

Once i reached the vege stall, i cough and feel like vomit with no reason. Starting to feel a little uneasy. Then i begin to choose the nice vege. Few minutes later i started to feel blur, my body start runnig with cold sweat. I still stay on, pass the vege to the uncle. Then i started to feel a little bit of black out and i cant really hear at that moment... quickly i take my phone out and call Mr Kuan. May be my vision was bit blur at that moment, i have a hard time to search his phone number. Eventually i got to call him. He rushed to take me back to the car. Feel really uncomfortable, if i stay on there for few more minutes, i will drop down to floor.

I guess could be the ventilation was not good there.... i am not sure... but that morning was a cooling morning since it rain.

Remember the last time i fainted was the time i just finished my operation few years ago. The nurses wanted me to go to the toilet and force me to pee. It was just less than 10 steps from my bed to the toilet, but i m really having a difficult time to get there. I fainted half way, total black out. There were 2 nurses holding me. But they still want me to make my first pee after the operation. My scars were causing me pain and my stomach was extremely pain too (gastric). Not a good experience.... scary...

Authentic Thai Cuisine. Food is rather delicious and worth a try.

Ming Khiem. I learn to eat this dish from Rebecca. Since then i like it. It is like thai salad. You need to wrap all the vege (Cut Chili Padi, Fried coconuts, Peanuts, Dice shallots, dice ginger, dice lime and fried dried shrimp) in a kind of leave then put the prepare source.... It just delicious.

I am so happy to eventually found a Japanese BBQ restaurant in KL. Not a common one in KL. The last time i had Jap BBQ was the time in Beijing.
Food is rather pricy in this restaurant but things are fresh and delicious.

A very fruitful day. Wake up early in the morning and drive all the way down to Seremban Market to eat the famous "Beef Stripe Noodle" (牛腩粉). I got a bit of craving since last week.　I find of like to eat beef since i got pregnant.
Hence today no matter what, i have to make it happen. We meet up Pek Kee and Dennis in the market. (Seremban is their hometown). Sit in the market place, eat and chat till 2pm. By time we reached KL, is already 3pm.

Later of the day, we went to shop for carpets to decorate our house.
My mother in law and in law niece come to visit us and stay overnight.... dinner, cooking, cleaning. At night, mother in law's friends who stay nearby, come and visit us too. By time i got to rest, is already 11.30pm. Tiring day...

First lady

Just watched the midnight news. US first lady (Obama’s wife) just did a well speech and earned a lot of respect from the audience. I start thinking and keep asking Mr Kuan. All the first lady can do great speech and has contributed a lot to the society too. What if I married to US president, can I don’t do any speech (as I am not a good speaker and I have stage fear), can I don’t do any welfare, can I don’t expose to media, can I don’t....so many questions…. And also questions like, can I just stay at home and do things I like, can i just….

Mr. Kuan did not say anything, he just ignore me by pretending he fall asleep at the sofa with his hand still sticking on his laptop. But he woke up after I stop asking questions….. so bad...

Baby movement feeling

I am trying to find a word to describe the feeling when you can feel the movement of the baby. From the web, it normally describes it as butterfly fluttering, gold fish swimming around… when I read about those feeling initially, I can’t really imagine and understand how it feels. After since I felt this little jerks and jolts, I think the best way to describe it is as if when you can feel your own pulse. Sometimes we do feel our own pulse in any part of our body for no reasons. The pulse pumping feel could be in your hand, leg, or even eye. When you felt the eye pulse, Chinese will always said, “left eye pulse is a bad sign, and vise versa for right side”. And I think this initial baby jerks and jolts is almost exactly this feeling with a bigger surface area and with a strength that is stronger than pulse. Not sure how it feels when the baby grow bigger and stronger. Will update accordingly.

Can you all imagine the feeling too?

Moon Cake Festival | 22 Sep, 2010

It has been such a long time that me and my family did not celebrate Moon Cake Festival. When i was young, this is one of my favorite festival, me and my brother will join our neighbour kids and play the whole night. We like to play candles, though lantern is the highlight of the night. Each of us will take our favorite lantern (my favorite lantern is always a fish like lantern), walking around the neighbourhood. We sing, we chat and we talk about the ghost house located not far from our house. The very next day, we spend most of the day is cleaning the candle stain. I hate doing that :) ..... what a memory. It was at least more than 20 years ago.

This year, i went to Mr Kuan house for celebration. We joined their neighbour. Nowdays, there are so many choices in lantern. It even have Transformer like lantern. But i still prefer my all time favorite, the fish like lantern or the normal paper lantern

Baby Kicking

Today is the day that i can confirmed my baby is moving actively inside me and i can feel him/her. This feeling started last week, but i can't really confirm since it only happen once a while. But today, the baby is exceptionally active. I just felt like a gold fish swimming inside me, bubble feeling...It is really amazing.

Swimming

Today is the first time i went for swimming after i got pregnant. My stomach is not as big as i used to imagine a pregnant lady should be. Looks more like put on weigh than pregant.

I told Dennis that i want to go for swimming last week. But he asked me to rest more instead of moving around. I have read so much about the benefits of swimming during pregnancy. Hence, today i went for swimming. Feel so great....

Becky worried about me of going for swimming too. But is alright.... it will do good for me only :)

Bed

I have shifted to my new for almost a month. Tidy up the bed in the morning is always and solely my responsibility. If it happens that Mr. Kuan went out later than me that day, the bed will be left the way it is when he woke up. I will still tidy up when I am back after work. I just don’t like to see my bed in a messy condition, or I should say I like to go back to my bed at night in a neatly condition.

Today is the first day Mr. Kuan tidy up the bed without me asking him to do it. I was rather surprise. I asked him how come he is so “guai” today. He said, “ I always tidy the bed….” Hahhahaha….. he dare to say that….

Wisdom Tooth

Tooth ache strike me on Friday night. So painful till I have my head spinning around and I can’t sleep the whole night. Trying hard to sleep, but on and off I will woke up in pain. Until 4am something in the morning, I think the pain start to subside gradually.

I try to make dental appointment first thing in the morning, but all the appointments were so full till they can’t fit me in. Then I told them I have serious toothache and needs to be treated immediately. At the end, the earliest they can do is to wait till today (Monday), 8.30am.

Initially, I thought I just need some filling. Doctor said, there is a whole in my top left wisdom tooth. Since it is a redundant tooth, he advised me to extract it. Of course I agreed with his suggestion. He asked me whether I want to do it immediately or I need to have some mental preparation before he extract the tooth. Of course I want to end my pain immediately….. and here is the pathetic wisdom tooth.

I brush my teeth day and night using the electrical tooth brush (not using it this month since i move to my new house). I suppose that tooth brush able to reach to the smaller angle of my teeth.... dont know what i have done to my wisdom tooth that it become so pathetic and causing me painssss......

OK, what should i do with it now?

Today when I passed by Starbucks, I think of 星巴克 in China.
Suddenly my mind start thinking, why it called 星巴克 but not 星巴克斯 or 斯大巴克斯 or 斯大尔巴克斯???? Anyone can help me on this question?

Lazy Weekend

This is a very lazy weekend.
My brother and sister in law went to Hong Kong. My mom has brought two of my little nieces and two mates to my house and stay overnight on Saturday.
We cooked char siew noodle (dry type) for Saturday lunch…. It was delicious! The house was pretty new to the nieces. They should have slept in the afternoon. But they spent the afternoon playing and walking around. They took 2 hours nap. Then they continue to play until 12 midnight. Looks like the adults are more tired than the children.

Sunday is another lazy day for me. I just lie on sofa most of the time where the mates do all the cleaning. If not, me and John will have to do all those cleaning… It is really nice to have mates around.

Rice

Me and John had our first dinner in our new house.

My mom had cooked a salted fish, pork belly for me yesterday. I just need to heat it up. On my end, I had boiled a quick soup. With fried egg, wong nga bak (vegetable), salted vege (tong coi) and a little bit of “fen si” (tong fun). It turned out delicious. I suppose to take some photo of the product. But I left my camera at my mom’s home.

The proud thing is that, I steamed the rice, first time ever. And it was great.

We have yet to buy the rice cooker. I was thinking, should I go out to buy cooked rice? If not, how should I cook my rice. Then I decided to steam the rice, if I don’t start experiment in steaming the rice, I will need to buy from the nearby restaurant everyday.

I started with boiling the water (with the rice in a metal container), once the water boiled. I turn it to the lowest fire and let it steam till the rice is cooked. I am not sure about the measurement of water and rice, and just took a rough estimate. It took almost the same time as the rice cooker to cook the rice. Approximately 20 minutes. Bravo! I did it. Steam is better than rice cooker as the rice don’t stick at the container. Felt delighted when John actually enjoys the dinner.

New House

Today is the 3rd day after moved in to our new house. A 95% completed house. We still have some minor renovation to continue.

The house is absolutely comfortable with the exception, it is too quite.
My old house (parent house) situated first row facing the busy MRR2 (Middle ring road 2). MRR2 is always busy and noisy. But somehow all of us have already immune with those noises. Furthermore, old house got 2 little monsters Yan Yan and Dayna. And the two maids have to always busy with them and the household matters. The old house is always full with people and noise.

After moved in to the new house, the only thing we do is to buy all the necessities, clean, clean, clean and clean. Until today, there are still a lot to do. Girl friends have been wondering what I have been doing after my wedding. No news from me at all. After my wedding ceremony, me and John have spent several weeks in finalizing the new house. It is really a tiring process.

Another exception of comfortable is, Astro is yet to install. We have to wait 4-7 weeks for the installation. So beside cleaning and tidying up the house, my only entertainment is to watch TVB series.

John has spent 2 days trying to hack to our nearby wireless access. Hence, I was quite out of the world without going online for the pass 3 days. Only up till few hours ago, he successfully hacked a rather strong wireless access… hehehe…… no need to apply wireless access.
