Wakeboard on 17 February, 2008

This is the second time I am doing wakeboarding. I thought I will fall several times before I got it right. To my surprise, I stand up correctly without falling on the first trial. I am so excited. It was so different from the first time I am doing. I only used minimum effort to ski on the water, the speed boat will do all the pulling. I just need to balance myself on the water. Still remember the first time, I tend to fight against the strength from the speed boat and the water. I lost all my energy at the end of the session. My hand and leg were shivering. I enjoy more this time.

Secondary school hostel mates’ reunion on 15 February, 2008

In the past couple of years, my secondary school mates will have a reunion dinner during Chinese New Year. This is the first year I am joining them and this year there were 31 of us turn up for the dinner. I have not met with some of the friends since I graduated from my secondary school. I was rather happy to meet up with them. One of my friends has 3 kids. Time flies. As most of us are already at our 30s, I notice there are wrinkles on their face. Of course this applies to me too…. Really hope that we will have more of this kind of reunion dinner.

Reunion Dinner on February 6, 2008

I have a small family with me, mom, elder brother, sister-in-law, and younger sister. In every occasion, my mom and I will invite other friends to join our reunion dinner or other kind of dinner. The more the merrier. This year, my cousin sister, and 2 of my mom’s friends joined us. There are all single and have no family on their own.

My mom has cooked a lot of good food. I have start eating since 5pm. The best is the shark fin soup, roasted duck, steamed fish, dried scallop with “wong ah pak”, steamed chicken, soya sauce fried prawns…… all are so delicious. Somehow, I did not eat much during the dinner. May be the weather is too hot, I have small appetite that night.

Angel vs Devil

I noted that there are always an angel and a devil in everyone. Lately they have been talking to me, telling me what should i do and what shouldn’t be done. I am really clear of what the angel and devil trying to tell me. But it is the choise that makes it difficult.

Come to think about the time i just came back from Beijing. I was rather confuse and felt miserable in life. There are so many doubts and uncertainties. I have overcome it one by one. Somehow this kind of weird feeling starts dominating me lately. This makes me feel the existence of the angel and devil again. It is never been easy in dealing with this kind of situation. I have to re-think the purpose of life and setting the right path again. I thought i was always on the right track, but i am in doubt now. The angel has been telling and guiding me. But devil has been pushing me off track. I think i need change in life. My job and my personal life.

Dreams vs Nightmares

I dont know how often do a person have dreams or nightmares. Once a week? Few times a week or few dreams or nightmares in a day? I am having nightmares and dreams lately. It happen few times a week and it really affect my sleep. I cant fall asleep after i wake up from nightmare. Heart is beating fast and felt scared. Last night i had a nightmare that i can remember and few dreams that i cant recall. The nightmare i had normally related closely to my surrounding. Even it is just a nightmare, i am very cautious with it. I had a sleepless last night...

Redundancy Plan

What is redundancy plan? What is a redundancy plan different from a contingency plan? I was explaining to my friends in the office today.

Contingency plans are in place to prepare and re-act on some unforseen or uncontrollable situation. It is a preparation for 'rainy days' if something happen. The purpose could be good as you are weighted with importance if that actual day come true. However, redundancy plan is something plan to happen and when that day come you are actually redundant and is being replace. Basically, you are not weighted with importance since you are going to be redundant and replaceable. It could be cruel to find out that if you are being treated as a redundancy plan. In order to re-act as being treated so, we should counter re-act on a redundancy plan with a contingency plan. Do the best, and out perform your current role so that your importance are being valued. If you know that no matter what, the redundancy plan is going to act upon in time, then a contingency plan should come into picture.

Unhealthy Relationship...

Few days ago, I was having a tea time chat with few girl friends. We were discussing the topic of being a 3rd party in a relationship. They pinpoint out that for a man to divorce his wife, either by promise or empty promise is almost equal to zero percent. Those cases where man actually divorce their wife and get together with his so called true love should not taken in the percentage calculation because it were consider as exceptional cases. I think this fact is rather true.

Come to think about it, i know things can happen naturally for a lot of circumstances and for a lot of people. Can it be avoided? I dont know, may be yes. If it cant be avoided, can it be ended? I dont know, may be yes. If it cant be ended? then can that be a conclusion for it? i dont know. If no conclusion for it? then why want to be continued in those unhealthy relationship? i dont know. May be it cant be avoided in the first place...

Come to think about, everything is an excuse for not doing the right thing. Things happen for a reason, if it is clearly known that there would be no conclusion to continue in that unhealthy relationship, then why one still continue in doing so.... i dont know...

Old photos

My mom bought a new set of sofa for our first floor living hall. I was sitting on the new sofa and start looking at the photos on the rack in front of the sofa. There are few photos that i wanted to remove it from the rack for years but i think i will refrain from doing it. Those photos were taken during my brother's wedding. A family photos with my ex-bf in it. We have separated for years but those photos still remained there because it is my family photos with him inside. What to do?
I dont like those photos....

My Shoes...

Chinese new year is around the corner, of course cleaning the house is one of a activity that shouldnt missed. I have been away from home for years, and even i was working in KL last time, that was the peak season in audit firm. I have no time to clean my stuffs and help my mom in home decoration.

Today, i spent time in cleanig the store room, shoe rack and book shelves.
After cleaning the shoe rack, i discovered i have few more pairs of shoes that i have neglected for long. I tell myself. i need to banned myself from buying shoe for at least half a year. I have too many shoes that sometime i cant even recall the shoe i bought or only wear once.... not good not good....

I will try myself not to buy shoe in this first half of 2008.

My nails...

I normally dont like to keep my nails long. However, since mid of last year, i start keeping my nails long. I do enjoy going to nail parlour for manicure. It is cheap to do manicure in Beijing. It cost only RMB15- RMB20 for a normal manicure with single colour coat. I cant do that frequently in KL since it is expensive as compare to Beijing, approximately MYR35 with single colour coat.

Today i decided to cut all my nails short. The reason being, i want to play better in piano. I have been practising a particular song. Memorised it and non stop practising it at least once a day. My piano teacher wants me to play that piece in a lunch concert in my music school. I am more than happy to do it.... Hence, cutting all my nails is the first step of playing it better...

Happy Roses

Get to know about this “Happy Roses” in some magazine. The Happy Rose is unique due to its rich and exuberant colour combination and the special colouring technique that lies hidden behind this. They are hand dyed by injecting the stalks in four different places while they are growing. Each of the petals is of in different colour in a single rose. I am not sure we can get any of this Happy Roses in KL or not. I think it is rather a good surprise for girl friend.
