擂茶饭是客家传统食品。据说早期客家人迁徙时,随身只 能携带少量五谷杂粮果腹,于是发明这种吃法。“擂”不是敲的意思,而是“研磨”。就是用番石榴树枝做成的大木棒,在内壁有着条纹的陶钵里将茶、芝麻、花生等材料磨成膏状。客家人相信木棒的碎屑会在研磨的过程中混进茶里,增添香味。吃的时候,白饭上盖满菜脯(咸菜碎)、炸花生、凉拌芥兰和豇豆、豆腐干等,再用磨好的茶膏沏茶,倒入饭碗里混着吃。 店家端来饭和一碗茶。茶的颜色很浑浊,像日本茶叶粉沏出的颜色,用勺子搅一搅,碗里有很多不明沉淀物。我家人就吃不习惯擂茶饭,卖相b不怎么好看,但我却特喜欢,健康又简单。

Housemate。 擂茶饭是那是他给我们煮的一道新奇菜肴,从那时开始,我就爱上这道食物。那时读完大学回来大马, 到处都吃不到擂茶饭,没办法,就是不流行,所以没人卖。唯有只能想吃时,盼着Brian 从Melbourne回家,再去他家吃。所以现在就成了一个习俗吧。

early in the morning have such a heavy breakfast.... good, can boost up your energy for the whole day....
This one my best fren, Brian, mom cook this. She cooks the best tea rice ever. I know the recipe and can cook too. But not everyone appreciate this food. My family dont like it. They said it looks like pig food, everything mix together.

其實也像素菜炒飯加薄荷湯而已。
雖然從小吃到大,
我也不會特別喜歡擂茶的湯,
反而喜歡不加湯,只吃那些炒菜+飯。
